Our guest speaker, Rob Maddox, Director of Financial Aid, St. Mary’s College of Maryland will be offering two identical presentations to Quince Orchard at 5:30 and Churchill at 7:00. Our partnership with other MCPS high schools gives you the option to view either presentation.

Hard Copy Textbook Distribution (if available)
All students have received a message in canvas this morning and last week regarding additional requests for hard copies of textbooks, if available. Students must complete this survey to request materials. Distribution will occur on October 2, 2020 (a half day). More information regarding the distribution will be communicated the week of September 29th in the community message. Students do not need to request materials if they are using the online resources. Teachers will assist students with any questions.

If you are a student new to the school in any grade, drive to the bus circle, give your name, and our volunteers will hand you some cool WCHS welcome items.
MCCPTA-League of Women Voters Board of Education Candidate Forum
Monday, 10/5, 7pm
The League of Women Voters of Montgomery County (LWVMC) will host a virtual forum Oct. 5 for candidates running for Montgomery County Public Schools Board of Education.
The event will feature the following candidates:
- At-large candidates: Sunil Dasgupta and Lynne Harris;
- District 2 candidates: Michael Fryar and Rebecca Smondrowski;
- District 4 candidates: Shebra Evans and Steve Solomon.
The forum starts at 7 p.m. and will be moderated by Diane Hibino, the co-president of LWVMC. Anyone interesting in watching the forum should sign up by clicking this webinar registration. People can also email LWVMC with suggestions for questions to ask the candidates.
10/6 – 10/9 & 10/12 – 10/14, 3pm – 9pm
- Appointment cards have been mailed with the available date listed. Students will log onto https://prestigeportraits.com/ to schedule their appointments. Seniors will use their ID number found in the appointment cards to log into prestige portraits and select a date/time convenient for them.
- All seniors must have a reservation- no walk-ups will be permitted. To aid the no-touch policy, students are asked to pay the sitting fee online when making their appointment. No monetary exchanges will take place at the school/location site.
