Seniors, don’t forget to pickup your celebration magnets from the school main office
These car magnets are for ALL seniors regardless of whether you are returning to in-person learning!
Right now we need help organizing a senior picnic. There will be additional opportunities to help for other events as well. Please get involved and lend a hand!
In search of donations
Do you own a local business? Have something new at home that you are looking to get rid of? Have any free time to go to a local or national business to ask for a donation? The Senior Celebrations Committee needs your help! The committee is trying to obtain donations to raffle off to the graduating class. We would love to give each senior something. Ideally we would like to receive gift cards, but would also take any new item that a graduating senior could use after high school, such as a Keurig, TV, computer, Airpods, etc. Contact Jill Trone (email@example.com). The committee has already received some amazing donations, so talk to Jill before you go knocking on doors, but we could use more!!!! We can provide assistance to the donation committee on best practices on how to track donation requests and donations. We can offer a letter to businesses with the PTA 501(c)(3) tax ID number for your solicitation use.
Keep In Touch About All Things Celebrating Our Seniors
A committee was recently launched to find creative ways to salute and celebrate this graduating class that has obviously not had the senior year they have hoped for. Churchill parents and guardians have begun organizing to discuss graduation events and festivities, and they are actively soliciting ideas to celebrate the seniors this spring.
Please join to get involved. Click here to join the Senior Planning Committee Facebook group. You can also subscribe to the parent/guardian online listserv by selecting the link https://groups.io/groups. Look for the group name WCHSparents. and join the senior page.
Please join us to discuss ideas, volunteer to help out, and be a part of honoring the WCHS senior class of 2021! Want more information about how to be involved? Reach out to the PTSA senior celebration committee members: Carla Rush, Vanessa Scott, Cheryl Katz or Heather Epstein
Caps and Gowns
Please note that the Board of Education has confirmed that MCPS will be paying for caps and gowns this year – if you have not ordered yet, the Counseling Office will be following up.
