Submission deadline for The Asian Pacific American Student Achievement Action Group poster contest! The Asian Pacific American Student Achievement Action Group is holding a poster content in honor of May Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month. Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month aims to recall the history of AAPls since their arrival in the United States in the mid-1800s, their challenges and their contributions to American  society. All K-12 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students are invited to submit artwork for a poster that demonstrates the courage of AAPI. The entries will be judged by community art/art performance professionals. First place ($100), second place ($75) and third place ($50) winners will be selected for each of the elementary, middle and high school categories. This year the theme is “Courage.”
