Calling all Artists! Show your creativity and celebrate your culture by participating
in the Reflections Art Program!
Students may submit original works of art based on the 2026 Reflections theme,
What My Culture Means to Me, in the divisions of film production, music
composition, visual arts, dance choreography, literature, and photography.
There is also an Accessible Arts division that welcomes students of all ages and
offers division-specific accommodations to ensure that every student has the
chance to participate fully in the program. The Accessible Arts Division is an
option for students who identify as having a disability and may receive services
under IDEA or ADA: Section 504. See the Accessible Arts division guidelines for more information.
Use the official entry form and follow the instructions closely. For more information on the rules for the Reflections program, consult the general guidelines, as well as the submission rules for each arts division.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, November 23, 2026.
Here are some tips to ensure your submission is complete:
- All submissions are digital. Please save your original artwork.
- Each entry must be artwork inspired by the current year’s theme and created expressly for the program. Artwork created and used for another competition or program may not be submitted.
- Each entry must be the original work of one student only.
- Students may submit entries in more than one arts division. Students may submit no more than two entries in a single arts division.
- Read the submission rules carefully so you understand the requirements for your arts division, such as accepted file formats.
- Each entry must be accompanied by a student entry form, signed by a parent or guardian. Student entry forms must include a title and an artist statement, which communicates the artist’s inspiration for the work and how it relates to the theme. The statement must describe the content and be at least 10 words but not exceed 100 words.
- Digital technology and/or software can be used to develop, enhance and/or present an entry but may not provide the primary design and/or concept.
- Submissions that do not meet all program requirements will be disqualified.
- Submit entries by November 23 to reflections@churchillptsa.org.

About the Reflections Program
National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. In response to this theme, students create works of art in one or all the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.
Student winners from the local level have the opportunity to move up through their district, region, council, and state PTA programs to the national level. Student entries submitted to the national level go through two rounds of review by esteemed arts professionals across the country. National Reflections winners are announced in May and celebrated annually at the National PTA’s Convention & Expo in June. Over 200 students are recognized for their achievements in the arts with prizes and scholarships, and their works are showcased and exhibited throughout the year.
