MCPS Educational Foundation’s Rales-O’Neill Scholarship Application: Deadline Extended to Feb. 18!
Calling all caregivers of seniors! Encourage your student to apply today for the Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation’s (MCPSEF) Rales-O’Neill Scholarship of $10,000 for tuition and/or educational expenses if your student meets the following eligibility guidelines. Up to 200 scholarships are available!
- Weighted GPA of 4.80+
- Financial need demonstrated through just one of the following:
- 2023 household adjusted gross income of $118,323 or less, the median income for Montgomery County
- 2024-25 Free and Reduced-price Meals (FARMS) program enrollment
- Plan to attend a college/university within two years
- Graduation with class of 2025
Encourage your student to apply today at www.MCPSFoundation.org/Scholarships. Students can apply November 1, 2024 through February 18, 2025.

Student Service Learning Graduation Requirement
All MCPS students must earn 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. Middle school and high school students should continue earning SSL hours towards their SSL graduation requirement by engaging in SSL opportunities during the 2024-2025 school year, including traditional in-person opportunities and select virtual/remote opportunities that follow the SSL guidelines posted on the MCPS SSL webpage (www.mcps-ssl.org).

Cap and Gown Order info:
It’s that time of year Seniors!!! Please visit the Jostens website to order your cap and gown. If you need cap, gown, stole and tassel you will need to order the full package (Click HERE ). If you ONLY need a stole and tassel you will need to order each one separately (Click HERE for stole, Click HERE for tassel) Every graduate needs to have a cap, gown, stole and 2025 tassel.
